As for your 'proof' that there was a 'misquote' by the AP, I must first register my surprise at how quickly the GOP 'engineered' a response. For that reason, I don't trust the audio version nor do I trust Drudge.

There was an official retraction of the story by AP.

Yes, but not by KnightRidder, one of the best media outlets in the country:

<font color=brown>Both President Bush and his Democratic opponent, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, wished the former president well during campaign appearances. Some in Bush's audience booed when he wished Clinton well, while those in Kerry's cheered.<font color=black>

So save your defense of the jeering GOP crowds.........I no longer believe anything that comes out of the mouth or keyboard of a Bush supporter.

LOL. Ok, believe what you want to believe, if it makes you feel any better.

I am unclear why you are working so hard to defend these people. Typically, where there is smoke, there is fire.......and their behavior was very much in keeping with GOP attitudes and their feelings about Clinton. I am not surprised but rather incensed and disgusted!

Again, I am surprised at your efforts to defend them.
