You think Kerry was in charge of the Cabinet, the US intel community and the military at the time?

Kerry was a US Senator and a member of the Senate Intel committee.
Do I think those two positions had responsibilities? You are durn right I do.
Do I think Kerry's one year AWOL from the senate intel committee immediately following 9/11 was an outrage?...Yes I do.

Looking at the current polls...most Americans agree with that assessment.

July 2001 - Airlines and airports received two warnings of possible terrorist threats in the Middle East. One warning specifically mentioned bin Laden, a government official said.

I don't know how much value the US placed on the July warnings. Other than opinion, I doubt if anyone on this thread knows either. I do know that the warnings have been going on since 1968 - both in the manner of a threat and by actual event. Many presidents have controlled a cabinet and enjoyed the White House since that time. Some presidents have done much more than others to deal with terrorist events. There were a couple presidents who mostly talked about it.
