I wouldn't have like to hear it. But, from what I understand of the Viet Nam war it is unfortunately true. From what I've read, My Lai was just the tip of the ice berg. The ones who were caught and made an example of. Free fire zones were common and anyone within them was a potential target. Viet Nam was misguided from start to finish. It's just a shame it got so out of hand due to human nature being what it is, and people not wanting to admit to making a mistake and taking the blame. So, it went on for years and years and became a bloody mess.
