Born and raised in WPB and to me retirement on Hutchison Island is the promised land. Me and my dad drive an hour to fish it 24 times a year or so. It is really nice.

I now own 2 - 3 bedroom homes down from 5 a few years ago. They rent for $1000-1300 on average. Which is beyond the price range for most local workers but it is a nice area called ( Port Salerno) Rocky Point. IMHO Martin county is one of the best run countries in Florida and St. Lucie is one of the worst as far as managing growth.
