Dearest Soup Al ~

I said it before, I'll say it again.

I thought this was the John F. Kerry for President thread.

The thread header says it:

Topics will include how Kerry will solve the pressing problems of our Country. We also discuss how Kerry's campaign is doing and how we can help him win on November 2nd.

Undecideds are welcome (if there are any). Bush supporters are also welcome, but please be respectful and please stick to issues. No Smears. Thank you.

I thought the focus here was on Kerry, not Bush?

My post was not intended to smear, and I thought CR's reply was a good reply that addressed the issue, unlike your post.

Finally, who appointed you resident Thread Traffic Cop? Have you taken over for AS?

/s/

Alan Smithee

Don't come back here till you do.

::yawn:: Like I'd miss YOU in my life.

I am a bit at a loss as to what to answer. I did not make the statements so I can't actually know the thought process involved to arrive at the statements. Let me get out my "mind reading machine of past thoughts" and take a SWAG.

The quotes and the timeframes are in a context in which we had thoroughly delivered on our promise to stop Bin Laden, and destroy those who harbored him and his terrorist network. We decimated them. The focus was shifting to Iraq. Bin Laden was hiding in caves, neutralized, contained and being hunted. No longer was he to be the main topic of world interest. He had his 15 minutes of fame and ended up crawling around in caves after we got through with him and his network.

Our focus was shifting to the next big threat in the area. The threat is highly documented as being non-compliant with several key UN directives and their leader is a known user of WMDs through his own past actions.

We had just suffered the loss of over 3000 innocent Americans at the hands of a bunch chicken#$& spineless Islamic extremists and we were in no mood to tolerate even the hint of another attack. Our national focus was shifting to this next likely threat. Bin Laden was cast aside as a done-in, cave crawling, humbled, extremist destined to crawl among the caves of Afghanistan until such a time as he is caught or found dead.

Oddly enough, after we got through with the next guy, we found him crawling around in a hole in the ground too.
