I got approved for Idaho concealed carry today.

Last year we repealed the old concealed weapon law and adopted the sol-called "Vermont Carry" position, so a concealed weapons permit is no longer required in Alaska. One of the reasons was that folks with a pistol in bear country automatically became a felon whenever they put on their coats. Here the liberals carry .38s, the conservatives carry .44 mags, and the independents carry .454 Casulls. <g>

<<I got approved for Idaho concealed carry today.>>

Our now governor, Rod Blegoivitch got that shut down years ago. It was unfair to criminals. No shit, that is what he said in the Statehouse, I was there.

However there are ways to bend the rule.

I got approved for Idaho concealed carry today. Don't stand in front of me.

What's involved in Idaho?

In WA, you just get fingerprinted, fill out a form and as long as you have no criminal background and are not certifiable, they have to give you the permit.

I had a CWP a while back, but it expired and I didn't renew it.

UW, You are talking about weapons that I am not familiar with. My primary weapon was the M1 Garand rifle. The combat engineer company I was in, ran the ranges one time, and those of us in charge, also fired M1 & M2 carbine, 45 cal. grease gun, 45 cal. automatic pistol, 30 cal.,air cooled machine gun, 30 cal. water cooled machine gun, BAR, 50 cal. tripod mounted, 50 cal. ring mounted on an APC, 150 recoiless, jeep mounted, and the 3.5 rocket launcher. That assignment was a blast of fun. We had so many rounds left on the 3.5 range, that we kept pounding an old tank, until we blew the turret off, and took home a pair of ball bearings for each of us.

Since you have your permit, I will give you the right of way, if I see you. :^)
