All the CO of the 147th FIG had to say was NO. He didn't do that. People change jobs and move accross the country all the time. The ANG does not pay much and people get transferred in their jobs, lose their jobs and need to move to other parts of the country for lots of reasons. The Guard has always been accommodating to this. If they weren't, nobody would sign the dotted line and join. They are also accommodating in giving a person time to find and affiliate with a new unit in their new home state.

Well out of the millions who served in Vietnam, how many got out of Vietnam in 4 month with 3 purple hearts for injuries that did not cause a single day of duty missed. I'd say several hundred times as rare.

It also seems that mr. kerry failed to meet his requirements of reserve duty.
