Exactly. Putin has decided to take the fight to them instead of respond when attacked. The same thing kerry is advocating the last time I heard him say anything about it. Of course, kerry's position will likely change before November....

John, I have this idea (probably a wild assed one) of how to wage a war cheaply. If you really have to go to a war - do some minimal troop build up so that the other party is also on war footing. Then aerially bomb the hell out of the other party. Give a break - let them rebuild if they chose to. Then bomb the hell out again. Let the leaders be on the run. This way our casualties are at a minimum, civilian casualties are at a minimum.
With this guerilla style attacks the enemy is weakened and softened to be taken out by others. We don't even have to invade the country to own it :-). But it is reall early for me and I am still under the influence of drowsiness - so I will retract everything I say in this post after I have my coffee.
