"I see.......he didn't have anything to do so there was no point to his going to meetings. It made no difference that he signed a 6 year commitment; that others had nothing to do but they went to their meetings.........instead, a nuisance for Bush and a minor nuance for you."

you don't see .. you do not want to see.. he was not awol..

Sorry.....that's what those in authority and in the know are suggesting.

he got a honorable discharge.

So what? Its clear by now that Bush's paperwork got 'special' treatment.

He served at least 18 months of active service. that in itself would fulfull six year commitment of active national guard reserve. you did 4 hours a week and 15 days a year for six years. or one weekend a month. Now he was costing the national guard money.. which is paid by the state not the federal gov. So everytime he showed up after his plane was canceled they were donating money to Kerry as he didn't have an assignment. They didn't want to retrain him on new plane , it was too costly and he would be hanging around for another six years. They would put new recruits into training inorder to get greatest return...

I see.......his obligations were not important. I guess that's your story and your sticking to it. Well, I think I'll try that theory on my boss on those days I don't feel like working.......I'll tell him that I will just be taking up space, wasting utilities and office supplies etc. I hope his reaction is as good as yours.

Now i will judge bush on being president of u.s. what he did thirty five years ago has nothing to do with being qualified for president.. you see he already has given us four years of performance to judge him by.

Just one more reason to can him.

so if you do not like Bush say so... it is not because of his national guard duty..national guard has nothing to do with his qualifications that was settled four years ago.

I have never been shy about telling you guys how I feel about Bush. ;~)

However, I disagree with you.........the measure of a person can be determined by how he executes his duties. Bush has a pattern of not executing those duties well.....and his nat. guard stint is just one more example.

John, it's time for Dems to get even for the Smear Vets incident.
