On the same subject, I was just watching Dennis Miller. He had actor Jay Thomas on along with the head of the African American Committee for Bush/Cheney and a woman writer whose name I don't recall. Thomas had the audacity to tell this black man how he should feel about George Bush and the GOP. When Miller asked him why Bush appointing more African-Americans to high office than ANY president in history is derided by the Dems as tokenism while Kerry doesn't have a SINGLE black in a position of authority in his campaign, yet claims to represent black America, Thomas dodged the question with some condescending crap that essentially comes down to his guilt over feeling that he resides in a higher strata of society than most blacks. In other words, he feels lingering tinges of racism (from himself), so as long as he feels that way, there's something wrong with America that only Dems who think like him can fix. What kind of bulls#!t logic is that.

Oh, the other typical behavior - every time the black Republican dared try to speak up, Thomas essentially shouted him down by loudly talking over him. Miller is way too tolerant. He's trying to be balanced and have a fun show, and he does make clear that he supports Bush, but he let's his Hollywood lib guests beat down the one Bush supporter every time. I guess if he wants to keep working in Hollywood on occasion, he has to let it go, huh?
