Bush checked the box that he "did not want to serve overseas". The F-102's he flew were never used in Vietnam. Then he deserted.

Not only that, Bush was flying during the middle of the Cold War with the Soviets. They had FIGs back then because of the threats from Soviet Bombers.

The taxpayers paid $1 Million for Bush's training and then he broke his contract with the Government by not showing up to complete his duty.
