ABC News/Washington Post Poll Shows Decisive Bush Lead
Blogs for Bush

In the most comprehensive poll after the Republican Convention, ABC News reports George Bush with a 9% point lead (52% - 43%) and strong polling numbers of the key issues facing Americans today:

"Clearer stand on issues": Bush up 27% over Kerry

"Stronger leader": Bush up 27% over Kerry

"Make country safer": Bush up 19% over Kerry

Trust to handle terrorism: Bush up 22% over Kerry

Trust to handle Iraq: Bush up 16%

Keep the pressure on them because the Kerry campaign gets more and more desperate every day. Today Theresa Kerry called everyone who disagrees with Kerry's healthcare policy "idiots" and Kerry himself furthered the "Two Americas" theme by saying the Bush policies are as "divisive and destructive as Jim Crow":

"Wrong choices of the Bush Administration... are taking us back to two Americas -- separate and unequal. Our cities and communities are being torn apart by forces just as divisive and destructive as Jim Crow," Kerry to say in speech to Baptist convention...
Not only is that below the belt, but it is hateful fear mongering of the worst race-baiting kind -- a level beneath ANY Presidential candidate. The Kerry campaign campaign continues to divide America at a time when we as a people need to come together to fight the biggest issue of our generation -- the global war on terrorism.

But John F. Kerry has never put anything ahead of personal ambition, so why should the interest of the United States of America come before his self-interested desires now?
