It is very awesome.

But it's going to fizzle as it approaches Florida, just like Frances did, because Charley and Frances churned up colder water which will rob Ivan of its energy.

Same thing happened in the Gulf a couple of years ago when a vicious storm tracked a previous one.

If Ivan gets in the Gulf, there will be hell to pay as there is no colder water at the surface in the Gulf. A front is [hopefully] going to be in place this weekend which should steer Ivan East.
