Chris, in case you missed my posts over on the Compendium thread, I've got you beat by about 26 years! IBM came out with proportionally spaced fonts with its Executive line in 1940!

I agree with you; I would think the Texas Air National Guard was likely using Royal or Underwood manual typewriters 30 years ago, and beyond. - Holly
