maybe you can volunteer first so we can begin with the decrease, or maybe an easier option would be to try and be a little more conservative in your ways of living and share with your fellow human beings.

<so you're in for a fight to keep them or the population of the world better decrease quickly>

What a wise and thoughtful outlook. You must be a direct descendent of Ghandi himself.

" If you say the U.S. you point a finger at your own lifestyle, because you (as well as most of the developed world) owe your lifestyle to the same philosophy and fact you were borne into the land of plenty."
very true. we all need to carefully evaluate our wastefulness, do our best to share our resources, and spend more time in our lives on the things that really matter.

As far as the war against Saddam and the mess in Iraq, yes I think the US gov is responsible. Not you and me.

But trying to find a culprit for all these wars and terrorist acts over the many recent decades is a complex matter. In part, you have evil people who would have no respect for human life and exist to destroy. You have politicians who will do what it takes to please their people and get re-elected. You have governments who will interfere in other countries affairs where they have no business. And as you suggest, you have ordinary people who are asking for a better way of life from their governemnts no matter what it takes.

The reason is complex as is this world.

Enough politics, now I am going to PMs.
