Yes, I have an Israeli friend with whom I studied for my MBA decades ago, who is now living in Israel. We still talk via email. In addition, I work with many folks from Asian countries, mostly China, India, and Pakistan. I also work with lot's of people around the world including folks in Australia, France, the U.K., Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and Japan. I have conversations about a wide range of topics with many of them, including how they feel about Iraq. I am aware that with few exceptions, the world sees us as the bad guy. And that is extraordinarily unfortunate. I believe that is a factor not so much of us doing the wrong thing about terrorism, but the colossal failure of diplomacy by Bush. If Clinton had done the exact same thing as Bush did, he would have had the world congratulating him on being a brilliant strategist and a courageous leader to confront the war on terror so directly. Bold action alone is insufficient. Our President needs to have the ability to sell his actions to the rest of the world and make them feel like we're all one big unified team that's in it together. Bush failed at that and Americans are suffering the consequences of worldwide disunity. In fact, I'd also say the Iraqis are suffering for it to. If the world was united, then maybe the terrorists wouldn't be so brazen as they are now in their exploitation of civilization's divisiveness. FYI. I never said we should impose our brand of freedom on the Arab world. In fact, if you look at Afghanistan and Iraq, we are most certainly NOT doing that. They have been free to write their own constitution and the makeup of their government.
