Anyone would lie about impersonating an Officer

The other version (believe it or not) is that the Republican Party fed those docs to CBS. LOL!!!! To trap them, obviously. Which HARDLY excuses CBS of its responsibility of vetting the docs and their sources before putting them on a national "news" program.

CBS, and Dan Rather in particular, will have much to answer for.
The end of Rather's career?

CBS is investigating itself. That isn't sufficient since we're talking about a criminal act, which also happens to be a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice - for impersonating an officer. Expect VIA to take a hit as well as shareholders learn what kind of crap that CBS News and Rather have been pulling.

I fail to see a criminal violation here. Or any violation. CBS claims "free speech".
