Mike, re: i would ask all anti vietnam war folks not to knee jerk themselves into automatic opposition of this war because of those above mentioned faults. You might say the same thing to all the French people about their war in Vietnam. Or their war in Algeria. Or the Russians with respect to their war in Afghanistan and now Chechnya. Those knee jerk opportunities to say that you can't successfully control the path of another people, of another culture, and of another religion seem to crop up a lot in history. In fact, history would seem to indicate it's not likely to succeed, at least not without tremendous losses and not without killing most of the alpha males first.
