<if China invades Taiwan> Taiwan IS part of China today. China will invade if Taiwan declares independence because that would be an attempt to change its status to that of an independent country -- Taiwan IS NOT now an independent country and IS a province of China.

Tim, the historical facts are a little bit troublesome for those who take the tact you set out.

If Mexico found a few Texans who were willing to do what they wanted, then sent materials, armaments and an army to back them up, would we say that we were the aggessers in trying to "liberate" Texas? What about if we were willing to leave the question to a vote of the people of Texas but the Mexican supported puppets refused because they knew they would lose? Would you call the Texans who fought to expel the Mexicans, "traitors?"

If that's your idea of "aggression" then I guess the North Vietnamese were aggressive. And I guess the Viet Cong Southerners were "traitors." It's all a matter of perspective.
