Taiwan can and does exert influence in China, and hopefully will do so more effectively in the future than it has in the past -- but if Taiwan decides it no longer wants to be part of China and tries to break away, the blood will flow in deep, wide rivers of horror. This has nothing to do with my thoughts or feelings about China -- it has to do with Chinese thoughts and feelings about provinces that decide they will break up the country. You want reality -- there it is.
