To the Editor of The New York Times:

Sending our men and women into Iraq is one of the most questionable acts the Bush administration has committed. Whether the decision was because of faulty intelligence, revenge, greed or other reasons, the role of this administration and Congress in this senseless war must be investigated thoroughly by a nonpartisan panel of eminent citizens.

If our elected leaders do not have the political will to authorize such an investigation, they should be replaced by those who have the courage to do so.
