Please don't take this as advice, but an observation. The annoying attributes of people never improve with marriage, and most often get worse. Better to convert him now, while he is still malleable... ;)

Karen, does he treat everyone with a different opinion in such a way, or only women, or only you? The following is not an observation, this is advice, tell him to respect the diversity of your opinion and to share cooking duties, otherwise he can take a hike. Democrat women don't accept crap. People are expected to hear and respect other people's points of view without losing it. I have the belief that behind any poorly-behaved individual in the workforce is a spouse or friend that enables it. And then corporations (unfairly) get blamed for it...
