Rather has the ability to get to the bottom of it faster than anyone. If fakes, he could espose it and the reasons it got passed the multiple levels of checks employed by CBS. He could humbly demonstrate how no system is infallable but how his is superior to most and in the end is the one that brings the truth to bear. If not fakes, he could demonstrate the same level of diligence to convince us all that he was on track all along and has weathered the storm of criticism. He would land on his feet and have instant vindication by his viewers.

I think he is smart enough. Will see what happens.

Centering is one of the early things they teach in typeing.
You position the the carriage to the middle (which is marked by a line) and then mumble to yourself the letters of the line to be centered hitting backspace for every other mumble.

Notice how the date doesn't line up with the margins the way it would with a word processor.
