Will the head honchos at CBS watch what's left of the credibility of their news department get totally destroyed or will they hang old Dan out to dry? And the most interesting question to be resolved is from where and whom did Rather get these obviously forged documents? If they came from someone connected to Kerry's campaign or other Dem sources, then this election is over and Kerry is burnt toast.

Pat Caddell was on Fox again this afternoon. The guy is a long-time Dem who is truly distressed at the direction his party has taken.

He said it yesterday and he said it again today - if these memos are tied in any way to the Kerry Campaign, the election is over.

He's right.

Dan Rather will go down in history alongside that Cub's fan, Steve Bartman, who grabbed the ball and likely thwarted the Cubbies' chance for World Series greatness.

Only problem, this ain't the world series. The stakes are much higher, and Danny boy may have lost the election for the Dems.

I love every minute of this...
LOL!!! I LOVE Rather's idiotic comment about destroying the bloggers. Old time media being overrun by the little mammals eating their eggs.

CBS seemed determined to hold this line till death do them part. Which it may.

And the most interesting question to be resolved is from where and whom did Rather get these obviously forged documents?
Now THERE'S a question. My bet is from someone in Kerry's campaign. But with plausible deniability re Kerry, to use Tricky Dick's old phrase. Kerry will vehemently deny any connection.

And Orky, the goat, and Arm'Pit will believe Kerry.
