They talked about what they did know, his habits and ways of doing things. If Hilary really didn't have a clue (and I think there is a good chance that she did, if she didn't know about Monica specifically she probably at least knew that her husband wasn't very faithful) it was because of a big effort to keep something secret. There would not have been a huge effort by someone to keep the style of their memo writing secret from his wife, his son (who worked with him) and his boss. Tim
