Latham takes lead in TV debate

Opposition Leader Mark Latham tonight accused Prime Minister John Howard of planning to cut and run from the Liberal leadership if he wins the coming election. Mr Latham was judged the runaway winner in the "worm" poll of audience members, awarding him 67 per cent of the vote to Mr Howard's 33 per cent.
