Fears About Smallpox Shots May Put Public at Risk...

A worst-case scenario, such as an airborne release of the virus, would be "an extremely difficult public health crisis," he said, and "an extreme challenge, to say the least."

I have written and spoken extensively about that scenario since attending a CDC briefing over 2 1/2 years ago.
My guidance to my family remains to take the vaccine at the very first opportunity.

I believe that the plan, in the event of any outbreak, will be to immediately quarantine a large area. I believe the decision has already been made to risk the population of even large cities to try to contain the outbreak.

Smallpox is extremely contagious and there is no cure. Each of those in an infected area will have a decision to make about whether to relocate or not. But only those prepared to move very quickly will get that choice because travel out of that area will imo be shut down and shut down quickly.
