This has been tried by an expert on IBM Selectrics.

He was able to get it fairly close (with a lot
of effort) on an IBM Selectric typewriter that
in 1972 would have cost about $20,000 in today's
dollars. But it was not nearly as precise
a match as the recent comparisons to MS-Word.

The attempt with the IBM Selectric also raised
additional questions,
e.g., why were the CENTERED headings on memos
supposedly produced months apart aligned so perfectly?

Sorry. Your response shows that you are either: (1)flagrantly dishonest,(2) ignorant of the factors that were considered in detecting the forgery, or (3) self-deluded.

The most damning part of the evidence is the proportional fonts and kerning. It is impossible, *impossible* for a 1970's typewriter to do this, because doing so requires computer technology that did not exist at the time.

CBS has been busted. No question about it. CBS's defense was lame. Their only hope is that their other left-leaning competitors at ABC, NBC and CNN will cut them a break and discontinue pursuing this.
