I think a lot of people aren't being polled.

I heard recently that the polling services are experiencing a 90% no answer rate when they place a call. [Presumably, due in part to telephone solicitations.] With only 10% actually answering the phone....no one is certain whether that affects [or how it affects] the random sampling characteristics of the poll.
