The "assault weapons ban" was a Clinton sop to the hate-America left wing fringe. Congress malfeasantly went along. Bush's message to Congress: If you STILL want to f**k around with this nonsense, I won't help you out with a veto, but I'm not going to PLAY this dishonest game FOR you with a presidential extension, either.
