All I have is my own opinion, but I am open to discussing any part of GW or Kerry's record or plan for America's future.

how interesting

i have seen you throw your military service (and your perception of its attendant heightened patriotism) in many, many posters' faces over the past year

never have i seen you admit to simply having an opinion, one which (thankfully) deserves no more weight than anyone else's

this, and the fact that you're now posting 40 and 50 times a day, tells me you're a little frightened about the likelihood that kerry might win

:-)

never have i seen you make a factual, supportive post about bush, only negative ones about kerry

as is your right, though to call yourself an independent in the face of this fact is risible

Well stated. I really have a hard time with name calling. Why can't we respect one another on these threads. There are times when I get really upset with something I read but that person is entitled to his/her opinion. Often I try to find a contradiction, copy and paste it. I know it won't change anyone's mind but UW has stated that he is open... and has voted split ticket. That's a start anyway for some zealots who post here will not tolerate a contradictory opinion. I find This thread one of the more accepting but I don't think people intentionally lie. Just call it misinformed. UW has read books... that have persuaded him of some fact. I read Blinded by the Right by Brock. It opened my eyes to a lot of things that the Republicans did to Clinton that were wrong. Anita Hill was maligned unfairly. However, as we are all witnessing, POLITICS IS A DIRTY GAME. Lies are told on both sides.

Having lived through the sixties and the VN war as UW did I would be a little more forgiving of Kerry. It was a terrible time and divisive time. He did what his conscience dictated for THAT TIME.... Times change.. and people change. I would hope that anyway.
