The data of the 20% highest income earners paying 80% of the taxes is fact, you can look it up.

I'm going by memory here so don't hold me to the exact figures:

Bush paid something like $800,000 in taxes last year, Kerry paid something like $100,000 (this one is more vague to me but I remember it was real low) yet Kerry is worth over a billion, Bush just a few million. The difference is Bush pays taxes on earnings, Kerry's money is inherited and not taxable income. So yeah your wealthy friends may not pay taxes, but they may not be totally forthcoming on what's actually coming in as earnings.
