US could track barium swallow in Baghdad Hospital. In other words, pre Iraq Invasion, the US had technology so sophisticated that they could see a patient ingest barium and watch it go to wherever it went (medical waste system?).

BUSH KNEW that Saddam had zero nuclear capabilities but he lies like a banshee and these right-wing sheep just buy it and lick his arse.

Propaganda works on the weak-willed. The trick is to have BETTER PROPAGANDA than the right-wing anti-American war mongers.

The statements you posted are (as far as we know, although we are still open to new data) not lies. It did not rain hear yesterday. However, the weatherman who stated that it would, is not a liar. He had the best evidence available to suggest that it would. Hurricane Ivan did not hit Kayman Island although the weatherman said it would. No lie there either. People died, it cost billions of dollars, so far.

A plan of action based on the best intelligence available is simply that. Unforseen circumstances and new or better intelligence impact the the plan and change what is known. The other politicians in America on both sides of the political spectrum have viewed the circumstances similarly and have suggested similar plans of action. No one would have a problem with any of that if it wasn't politically opportunistic to use character assassination as a partisan tool.

Well, where did I lie now Jewel?

You asked me to locate a post where you or someone else said awful things about bush or one where someone else said awful things about bush and you acted as a parrot.

I did. Or do you view the following as complimentary...

"Bush lies all the time, deliberately, unrepentantly and with much malice aforethought."

"Where did I accuse the administration of lying at all."'

This looks like an accusation to me...

"Those look like lies to me."

agreed with someone else who posted it and I don't think you can refute what the poster posted....

The poster made a list of claims that most of us would agree have been verified to some extent. He stated them as facts but in some cases we do not have conclusive intelligence.

I didn't challenge the claims because I don't know conclusively that they represent the truth, a perspective, or an opinion. I wouldn't call any of them lies although from different perspectives, opinions or with new data we may want to refute the statements in the future.

Some are fact, like the cost of the operation and its duration. Some are a perspective like saying that the Iraqi people did not welcome us. Some Iraqis didn't, some are glad we are there, most hope we will be gone and they will be living in a better world someday soon. Most of the rest of the statements are still under discussion and will need more intelligence and evaluation.

However, with new information and as circumstances change our definition of what our mission is, should be, should not be, continues to be monitored and revised. That does not qualify the statement "lies all the time, deliberately, unrepentantly and with much malice aforethought." Quite to the contrary it suggests an administration that reviews its position self-critically and adjusts it in the best interests of all concerned.

"Well, where did I lie now Jewel?

My original statement to jlallen had to do with the ease at which some people call other persons liars, without sufficient justification. Sylvestor80 in particular does that and you seem to have no difficulty. geode is proving to have quite a knack for it as well.
