Kerry just made this ignorant statement. Kerry just proved himself to have no idea what it takes to buy a gun in this country. Ever hear of the NICS background check Kerry? Ever hear of the law that prohibits FELONS from being in posession let along purchasing firearms? Did you know Mr. Kerry that those who renounced their US citizenship are also ineligible? Did you know that resident aliens are not allowed by Federal law to purchase firearms? This is basic information that a President should have known especially since 80 million gun owners know them and are subjected to these regulations everytime they buy a firearm. Don't like the "gunshow loophole" Mr. Kerry? Then why did you accept an assault shotgun as a gift without a background check in WV? Kerry did you happen to notice all the legal AK-47s for sale over the last 10 years. There was no legal ban on posession, buying, selling, or importation of high capacity magazines.
