And notice that the item that would provoke civil war was that a man was allowed ON the ballot in Florida. You would think that enfranchising those who wish to vote for Nader would preserve the principles that Gore was supposedly fighting for (Count every vote, make the process simpler so people end up voting for who they want to vote for ....). If someone wants Ralph Nader for President and is allowed the opportunity to see his name on a ballot, apparently that is grounds to start talking about civil war. I'll bet they would have no problem with Pat Buchanan on the ballot siphoning off Bush's voters.
