Can you say, "grasping at straws?" Dan is going with the "typewriter defense" because he has nothing else left.

It's funny. This forgery discovery started over MS word. But you can prove it otherwise. The outside evidence, family, NG officers, etc, are enough to invalidate it.

I really wonder at Dan's going ahead in the first place when he knew the family rejected it as impossible. Rather's desire to get Bush is obviously an obsession. They may have to send him to the funny farm by the end of this.

I miss the point, you can use either one in MS Word.

The point is that they used to look the same but don't any more. Back in the day when they looked the same, it was common to type the small L for the one. I always did. Once they started looking different, I had to change my practice. So if someone types the small L rather for the one, it suggests typing, or at least a typist, that predates the time when they started looking different.
