I'm disgusted with them for running the stupidest presidential campaign I've ever seen.

If Rathergate unravels with ties to Democrat bush-haters, get ready for more recriminations. The two Texas suspects both have strong Kerry ties.

I have moved on -- my ire is focused on the Democrats. I'm disgusted with them for running the stupidest presidential campaign I've ever seen. The effort to depict Kerry as a war hero is like putting dentures on a greyhound and passing it off as a pit bull. Stunts like the Max Cleland Texas trip and the bogus TANG papers are on par with a kindergarten Halloween scavenger hunt. They've almost completely failed to generate a debate about the important things.

The question then becomes, will more reasoned voices take control of the Democratic party and guide it in a moderate direction, or will the party continue to be controlled by the idiots who have utterly mismanaged the campaign?

Meaning, have they learned their lesson?

History books may very well attribute their downfall to 9/11. Libertarians are making a run for it.....at least in my state. They will need to moderate their position somewhat to overrun the dems in future elections, but I can envision a strong challenge by them to both parties.

I don't know what dems have to fall back on.....neither do they apparently. Running such an anti-war candidate this year was a huge mistake. Their only viable choice was Liberman, in the minds of most repubs, although I don't have any proof at hand to substantiate that claim.

9/11 demands that we have a willing and able "real man" in office. Kerry is too flippy floppy to be deemed such.
