I think it all comes down to Bush. If he wasn't snow-blind for a year he wouldn't have so much to be ashamed of.

An interesting tack was provided this morning on NBC during Kelly's Lauer inquisition...I mean interview...in 1972, right about the same time as bush's records go kind of blank...well, they go blank really...the NG or the military starts random drug testing...interesting coincidence.
