How can they lead the world when their leaders are morally bankrupt? And the West has played no small part in the quality of that leadership. For an example, all through the 80s the UK, France, the US and Germany supported Saddam, sold him WMDs and provided general aid in his fight with Iran. Saddam had nothing to do with the fanatism found in the Muslim world. That is the consequence of a fundamental religious view, No different in the Madrass than in a Southern Baptist Sunday school. Petty dictators have petty influence in the world, however cruel they may seem at home. TP
