The Pope is the visible head of the Church

Hate to disagree...but NO WHERE in scripture this is found. This is MANS arrogance...

CHRIST has always been the Head of the Church and his children are the BODY.

Well, you may believe in all of this, but I think the facts do not support you. You must stretch mightily to get a Pope Peter and even if you get a Pope Peter you much stretch even farther to prove beyond doubt a New Testament mandate for a transferable magisterium of the sort we see in the Roman Church. The linguistic gymnastics in this post do not overcome the undeniable fact that whether Christ spoke in Aramaic or not, the inspired Scriptures fail to speak of Peter as The Rock upon which the entire Christian church is built. It would have been quite easy for Christ to have said "upon you I will build my church." But He certainly did not and the inspired Scriptures by no means and in no single historic text will permit the idea that He did. Since He didn't, I am not at liberty to accept your view.

But you think yourself at liberty to accept it, and that is really quite fine by me. I am not so insecure in my faith that I must grow angry when Romanist heathens reject it and shove reams of nonsensical text in their faces to bolster my point. If you wish it, I will share the truth. If you do not wish it, then I will not share it with you. If you happen to hear me share it and disagree, then that is also fine with me. I am not interested in the least in boisterously sharing the truth with you because I will never argue you into heaven. From my vantagepoint, if not by Christ, it will not happen at all, despite all of the robes and conehats of Rome. Ultimately, this will all depend upon whom or what you will trust. I think history, right up to the present day, proves beyond any doubt at all that the Roman church is an unfit vehicle for the salvation of men. Indeed, I think this is true of any church of mere men. If you wish to trust your eternal soul to your church, you need not try to convince me of the propriety of it. It is your soul, condemn it if you must.

As for me, I will trust Christ, the True Rock of the Church. I will trust Him as did the members of the very first Christian Church - sans the Roman monstrosity that evolved out of it.

Now I know you don't really like hearing this and will want to argue. I am not interested in it Thomas. If in humbleness you wish me to explain the facts to you, I certainly will. But I am not interested in arguing with you on this issue.
