We'll see. It's not clear to me what the solution is. If we don't exercise influence in the Middle East, then we're screwed, because the status quo is what is producing terrorists. However, if we do it Bush's way, which is wholesale occupation for years on end, then we're screwed, because they will bleed us dry economically and through killing our soldiers. So what is the solution?

Iran and Syria are two of the biggest fomentors and sponsors of what's happening in Iraq today. What will we do about them? Is it ok to just withdraw and go into fortress America mode? What do you think, because I'm all out of answers.
