John,

[Are you going to read Kitty Kelly book?]

Probably... why wouldn't you read it? Did you read Buchanan's book?

Because I have not heard anything from her, of her and about her that would be worth my time (well, maybe an editorial column, but not a book).

As far as Buchanan? I have read a lot of what he wrote, would read more. Book is a serious commitment of time, so I would hesitate.

What I wonder why you would mention these 2 side by side? One is an intellectual giant, the other well, I am not even sure if there is an intellectual side to her.

Now, I don't agree with Buchanan about everything, but he is certainly a is some respect a conscience of the Republican party (one of many). I happened to agree with Buchanan about the start of the war more than Bush, FYI, but Buchanan goes too far for my taste.

BTW, I am not sure if you caught an interesting column by Bill Safire recently (it is no longer free on NY Times site) - wait, I found it elsewhere:

I think it is a good description of how I feel, and resolve sometimes conflicting issues.
