Bernie Goldberg is the biased one, as he proved by writing a biased book against CBS. He is a Bush supporter who is angry at his ex-employers. right or wrong, you cannot use him as a judge of Rather. He chose sides long ago.

Besides, the CBS he's talking about is decades ago. If he was a conservative at CBS during the Reagan years maybe he did have a legitimate beef, but this is a different era when the rightwing now dominates the airwaves.

We badly need a few people like Dan Rather to tell us the honest truth about some of the BS out there. No one at Fox will, and except for Chris Matthews and a few others, the rest of them are too cowed to break a story like that.

Bottomline though, Bush went AWOL and lied about it. We already knew that and there's plenty of evidence to prove it even without new documents. The new documents are just icing on the cake. So why did Bush tell Tim Russert he fulfilled all his obligations in Alabama? That was a bald-faced lie. Correct?
