Well, HSDPA adds a little bit more external (and NEW) IPR to CDMA community, not necessarily a good thing for QCOM...

Thanks Eric, just want to double and triple check everything. Especially when you say Q has little or no IP in the technology every WCDMA carrier in the world will eventually be using.

Some very good news that I somehow must have missed (or Qualcomm never announced)....it looks like the MSM6275 now supports EDGE.

I dont know if this chipset will ever be incorporated into a commercial handset outside of Japan but this really increases the chances of it being used to support a Cingular HSDPA datacard launch.

Very nice to see that Qualcomm has had the flexibility to respond to customer needs....
