as much as the human race has progressed (?), it still seems to be the nature, or nurture, of some to follow the bully. some coolness rubs off? the appearance of toughness rubs off? the bully will leave them alone that way? oh, big brother, tell me what to think! on the pendulum of time we see to have swayed from the age of reason somewhat. but Jefferson prevailed in spite of being smeared as a Francophile, among other things. "no retreat, no surrender".

i love to picture line after line of librarians, with arms linked, marching down the street, singing.

it's time for the young man who asked how you can ask someone to be the last to die for a mistake to rise again, as he did to a degree at the convention. the question has returned. and how can you ask a young man to be the one to fire on a crowd of people and kill a 12 year old girl? to protect a humvee? teachers are asking for donations to buy writing pads and dictionairies and we're spending billions for what are now open attacks on crowded cities where there is no way to separate foe from child. what are we becoming? what are we asking those who live and die to protect us to become and do in our name?

or something like that. sorry, off on some francophile tangent? lol
