He's mean, vindictive, nasty and frightening a la his Mom the practicing witch Babs. In fact, he's so much like his mother that even his parents didn't think he would make it through a campaign without blowing up. Man, ya gotta love those powerful antidepressants. 2. He can remember the names of everyone in his frat and everyone in the stadium down to the last peanut vendor. Nice hat trick but it WOULD BE BETTER if Bush could have remembered the name of the Heads of India and Chechnya. Peanut vendors YES - Heads of State NO. This kind of back slapping, minor talent let's him look like a nice guy when he's not. While 48% of Americans can see through the act, 48% cannot. (I wonder if it's congenital blindness or if it's an enviromental problem) 3. He has no morality. He has no conscience. He has no empathy. He has no troubling pangs of guilt or doubt. This allows him to go into war for oil profits, execute 152 people in Texas and giggle about it, use Medicare to subsidize BigPharma's profits machine at the expense of seniors, etc. etc. He can do all of these truly terrible things and still go on vacation without a single worry in his head. Bush is a sociopath. ========== Bill Clinton was a career politico as well. I'd take another Bill Clinton but without the Monicas. Kerry is not the most liberal anything anywhere. That's a fiction based on a right-wing rag. 1. Define liberal, 2. Define votes when bills go this way and that, 3. Count properly votes when Kerry was out campaigning. Remember that lying ad about Kerry's votes for tax increases? They were off by some 30,000%. Turns out they were miscounting, recounting, make up counting and then getting their counting WRONG. It was a single vote for tax increases which led to a decade of really great economic growth. If the right-wing has so much ammo on Kerry, why do they always make things up? Why don't they use the truth? Don't you think they have anything truthful? Yep, neither do I. ===== re the PDB What gets filtered into a PDB is very serious. In fact, much of the 911 blame gets put directly into Rice's incompetent lap. She read, she dissed Clarke, she ignored...she spent more time on her hair than she did in principal meetings about OBL. She chose to ignore the Cole as well. Rice is a Russian expert and Bush still wants to resurrect SDI (OMG). The acting FBI chief sent 40 (40!) notices to Bush et al in those 8 months about the escalating threats. Ashcroft even refused his request for an additional 100 people to work on the escalating threat. Clarke pushed and pushed and pushed and finally just gave up after his POSITION WAS DEMOTED. Forget about Clarke the person, what about HIS POSITION AS HEAD OF TERRORISM? What do you do with a threat? You deploy the world's largest Intelligence Force ($40 b/year don't we get something for that?) and notify everyone. You get the field office information together (terrorist learns to fly), set up a task force and get to the bottom of this and keep digging until you've exhausted all of your resources. That's what rational people do. Oh yeah, remember that Rice has lied repeatedly about not knowing that a terrorist threat was there. Baloney, there were many reports about using planes as weapons. She was also nailed by the 911 Commission into reading that PDB out loud. After the PDB came, what did Bush do? He stayed ON VACATION for a month. ======= Gee. So you believe Bush when he says we've destroyed 3/4ths of AQ but you don't believe that we can track individual terrorists? Then how do we know we've gotten 3/4ths of them? ======= As an aside, heard today that some military are saying there are 100,000 insurgent/resistance/rebel/terrorists in Iraq and not just 20,000? Hey, it used to be 5,000 so the growth rate is out of control.
