Did you miss the great morality play between the liberal media and the blogs being cheered by the thread denizens? Perhaps you've been skimming...

morality play?

interesting choice of words....

i would tend to characterize it as a turf war

a david and goliath story.....

and we know how that one turned out

:)

was referring to LB and the thread. I find the thread's manic mode fascinating. It reminds me, since you object to Woodstock, of fans going wild at a sporting event. I've gone wild at sporting events. I've cheered "we're number one" like I was somehow, personally, number one rather than just smart enough or lucky enough to have picked the winning team and showed up at the game to bask in reflected glory

well as we parse away here,

what you wrote and what you say you now meant were not clear....lindy was talking about the arcane typesetting experts, you say now your comments were directed at him.

fine.

glad we cleared that one up.

(and yes do note that if the "bringing down of insert name" comes as a result of the bloggers actions, the glory isn't reflected...it is real)

i don't object to woodstock...i just didn't see the how it was at all analogous to the story....and without question, the "stupid and stoned" allusion was considered by me to be a gratuitous swipe at the people who are now and have been active participants in the unraveling and deconstruction of the rathergate memos, whether intended as such or not

haven't missed it. I recognize it. I've been observing it at arm's length. I don't have to strap on pads and a helmet to not "miss" a football game. There's something to be said for perspective. Different strokes.

indeed...

"if you want to be a watcher and not a meaningful participant, that's fine, just try to go easy on the dismissiveness in the process"

Yes'm. Sorry you were offended

wasn't offended at all, i simply pointed out my perception of you attitude based upon my reading of your words

The beauty of the blogosphere is that it is self-igniting, self-propelling and self-selecting, a sort of intellectual ecosystem wherein the best specimens from various disciplines descend from the ethers, converge on an issue and apply their unique talents."

"It's almost like being in love..."

stranger things have happened

:)
