I had lots of friends who voted for Nadar in 2000... They saw it as you do.. a protest vote. It was one of the contributing factors to Bush being in the Whitehouse as they would have voted for Gore....

In an election that promises to be as close as this one might be.... that's vote lost, not a protest vote.

Yea, long time no chat --- for several years back.

BTW, I tend to agree with Suma who said essentially that a vote for Nader would be a spoilt vote.

IMHO, if you would like to see a change, then the obvious choice is Kerry. But I guess as you are a war vet, you just can't have him.

I voted for Nader in 2000, for the same reasons you're expousing now. I was in CA, so I was free to without hurting Gore's chances.
I had no idea Bush would be as bad as he's turned out to be. He's launched a war BY MISTAKE for God's sake! Vote for Kerry. Even if he's a conventional Tweedledum-Tweedledee President he'll be better than Bush.
Bush is the kind of loose cannon of a leader that might start WW III by mistake! Nader will get less votes this time than he did in 2000 - you'll make no statement.
