JK's one vote he regrets was the Gulf War vote.

LOL Damn right he regrets it. That vote may have cost him the Vice Presidential nomination in 1992. Gore was one of the few Democratic Senators that voted for the war, a fact that made him attractive to Clinton.

I am sure that those facts were a consideration when it came time for Kerry to vote on Iraq in 2002. Kerry screwed up. It would have been more consistent with his history if he had voted against giving Bush the authority to go to war with Iraq. He could have then voted for the $87 billion appropriation and said, "While I was opposed to going to war with Iraq at this time, I intend to fully support our troops now that we are engaged."

That would have provided some clarity to his position. Instead, his convoluted thought process has everyone scratching their head trying to figure out what his actual position on Iraq is.
