Do you honestly believe the soldiers along the border would have just let him escape? You were not there and neither was I, but it is an insult to everyone on the front lines to say that we "let" him escape. Have you ever been at 12,000 feet? It is not exactly the place where one can operate as they would at home, yet the people who have lived there over time, will acclimitize and have a higher red blood cell count, and thus an easier time with the altitude and with escaping should they need to. But I guess it is easier saying Bush "let" him escape than look at the myriad factors involved in a mountain fight.

And once he is in Pakistan, can we just go over the border and raid a sovereign nation? For this I would say yes, but international rules are different.
